Pastor’s Enrichment Network (PEN)
for
Bivocational and Smaller Membership Church Pastors
Charter Membership is still open to any Pastor who would like to be involved and identifies himself as the Pastor of a Bivocational or Smaller Membership Church or a Pastor who feels a sense of calling to support those involved in such churches.
Meetings are held on the Third Tuesday of each Month from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. at the MBA Office.
Fellowship and Connection are among the goals and purposes of our MBA PEN. That is how we begin each of our meetings, helping pastors to greet and meet new people, create and strengthen friendships, and nurture & grow accountable relationships.
Topical Discussions, selected in advance by participants, are held on a myriad of subjects such as ministry, missions, pastoral leadership, church administration, personal development, and pastor’s life & family. We discuss and share together what we have done and are doing in each of these areas. We teach and learn from each other from our own life and ministry experiences. We attempt to build and strengthen the ministry abilities of one another while encouraging each other to “hang in there” during difficult and challenging times. We are not limited to these specific areas of discussion. If anyone has something else on his heart that he wishes to discuss, the group is free to set aside the discussion topic of the day to address those issues instead. The setting allows for safe & open sharing, input, advice, direction, and prayerful support and encouragement for each participant.
Special Activities are held from time to time for both Pastors and their Wives such as Dinners, Outings, Trips, Picnics, Fellowships, and Retreats.
Prayer is an essential part of PEN. The prayer concerns and praises of each of our members is lifted up and shared regularly as we seek God’s blessings and grace upon each participant, their families, ministries, and churches.
Timeliness & Time Consciousness is sought at each meeting. We endeavor to honor each person by beginning on time and concluding on time, knowing the busyness of each person’s schedule.
